Elections
All elections are held at the Town of Belgium Town Hall

7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Photo ID is required to vote at all elections. Visit bringit.wi.gov (click box below) for more information and acceptable forms of photo ID.
Register to Vote: There are four options to register to vote. By mail, online, in person, or at the polling place on election day. Visit myvote.wi.gov (click box below) for more information and a list of acceptable forms of proof of residency.
Request an Absentee Ballot: EARLY VOTING IS ABSENTEE VOTING.
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on election day may request an absentee ballot.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is the Thursday before the election by 5 p.m. (Military & Indefinitely Confined until 5 p.m. Friday)
Some of the options to obtain an absentee ballot are as follow:
1. Visit myvote.wi.gov. Follow the simple instructions, complete the application and provide a copy of your photo ID. A ballot will be mailed to you.
2. Print and complete the application below (EL-121) and submit to the Town Clerk with a copy of your photo ID either by mail or email.
3. Submit a written request and a copy of your photo ID to the Town Clerk by mail or email . The written request must include your name/address, indicate the election you are requesting a ballot for, and the address to send the ballot.
4. Make an appointment (no regular office hours) to meet the Town Clerk at Town Hall.

Forms:
6.28(1) Register to Vote: must be postmarked no later than the 3rd Wednesday before the election. Online registration closes at 11:59 pm.
6.86(1)(b) Deadline to request absentee ballot by mail/online: 5:00 pm the 5th day preceding the election.
Deadline for voters to establish 28-day residency for Spring Primary is approaching. The last day for voters to move and still meet the 28-day residency requirement for registration is January 24, 2023.

Election Details
An election is to be held in the Town of Belgium, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed:

Office Terms: The term for all offices is for two years beginning on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
For Candidates: The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2022, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the office of the town clerk.
Primary Election: If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
Additional Information: Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
